GRADUATION

LITERACY

We painted paper plates and drew on facial features, fringed some construction paper the color of their hair, and cut and glued on a grad cap. These will decorate the wall in the Community Hall during our graduation program.

We are reminiscing and making lists and graphs of a favorite books, songs, games, and centers.

For something different we changed rooms with one of the other 4 yr old rooms. The kids had a ball playing in centers stocked with some different things.

Pictures on left are from our preschool graduation program rehearsals.

Graduation program:
Entered singing "I Am Here to Graduate"
Children sang and did hand motions to "If I Were a Butterfly"
Teachers read a "Dear Parents" letter.
Children sang "I'm a Little Graduate"
Then we showed a slide show filled with pictures of the children all through the year. The music for the slide show was Billy Dean's "Let Them Be Little" and Sandi Patti's "Love in Any Language".
The program concluded with the children doing sign language to the end of the song.

Not a dry eye in the place.
